The RTI specifications have been delayed due to new items requiring confirmation of process as we’ve read in Newsletter 81 on pension updates
The RTI specifications for 2017/18 are being updated to include a new data item to identify serious ill-health lump sum payments to individuals over 75. It will be mandatory to identify these payments using the new pensions data fields from 6 October 2017.
It should be a case of the payroll user ticking a box somewhere on the payroll but the specification for the software developers is still not available but it has been confirmed details will be available early 2017.
