HMRC has updated its what payroll information to report to HMRC guidance.

The employee information section has been updated to help ensure postcodes are entered correctly. It highlights the importance of ensuring the correct postcode has been recorded for the employee.

It warned that an incorrect postcode could result in the employee’s address being changed on its systems, leading to correspondence being issued to the wrong address.
