Huge congratulations to John Whiting, tax director at the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) who has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s birthday honours list, in recognition of his services to tax simplification. In 2008 he was awarded an OBE for public service.
Whiting is a former partner at PwC and is part-time tax director at the OTS with a remit to simplify the 17,000 page tax code. He is also a non-executive director of HMRC and a board member of Revenue Scotland.
It was an honour to have him speak at our Learn Payroll Future Focused Payroll Conference last week.
