After the success and positive feedback from the first year of payrolling benefits, more and more company’s are looking to commence the process for the 2017/18 tax year.

An employer can register for voluntary payrolling benefits anytime up to 5 April 2017 using their Government Gateway ID, however HMRC advises employers to register before the end of December before the annual tax coding process begins so that correct tax codes can be sent out in time for employees with payrolled benefits.

Be aware, registration is required even if currently you have ad hoc payrolling arrangements with HMRC.

Go to GOV.UK for full guidance and the link to register.

With so many employers changing to voluntary payrolling of benefits, it’s a great time to review your company’s strategy on The Learn Centre’s essential half day course.

"I know it is not till next June but just booked on The Payroll Centre's Annual conference. This is my must do course/conference of the year, having been almost every year for 10+ years, only missing for my wedding and having a baby, I even went one year with a 3 month old in tow! "
