Whilst a small number of employers continue to use the printed booklets to make payments to HMRC, these will no longer be available from April 2024.
Employers will no longer receive or be able to request a replacement payment booklet to make PAYE payments at a bank or building society or send with a cheque in the post.
Any current booklets can continue to be used at banks or building societies until the end of the tax year 5 April 2024. This also includes sending with cheque postal payments.
HMRC will be writing to employers to notify them of the changes and is encouraging employers to pay online as this is the quickest and most secure way to make sure payments are received and processed. You can also find more information on ways to pay at pay employers’ PAYE
