Scotland have used their new social security powers to remove the stress of 16 year olds having to go through the DWP PIP Application or assessment. They will continue to pay children up to the age of 18 the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Child, as long as they remain eligible. Historically those who were 6 months from their 16th birthday had to start the application process for PIP.
