To show the UK government are taking mobile phone use in vehicles seriously they are looking to increase the fixed penalty points for this offence from 3 to 6 for all drivers and the fine from £100 to £200 for all motor vehicles and these will apply in England, Scotland and Wales – Northern Ireland set their own legislation.

This change is led by the Department of Transport and its intention to pass the legislation through Parliament as soon as possible. This will therefore have an impact on all private and company car drivers.

The changed is based on earlier consultations, originally proposing a lower increase change however following analysis of the consultation responses, the department decided to proceed with higher increases.

"I have chosen The Learn Centre both for my own knowledge base and in-house training courses for my teams for many years. I have always been extremely impressed with the content of the courses, people engagement and the positive feedback from my staff."
