New rules regarding payslips are set to come into force in the new tax year.
From 6 April 2019, employers are required to provide all workers with a payslip, not just employees as is the current rule.
Employers must state on payslips the number of hours worked in cases where the pay varies by the amount of time worked. These can be presented either as an aggregate total, or as separate figures for different types of work or pay.
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has published guidance for employers.
