Further guidance on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been published by the Article 29 Working Party – the group of European data authorities charged with agreeing the guidance.
The latest guidance on profiling and breach reporting comes little more than seven months ahead of the roll-out of GDPR, which comes into effect on 25 May 2018 under the Data Protection Bill. The new measures overhaul the existing laws around the use and storage of data.
This release of information highlights how the final guidance is still being confirmed and that employers need to ensure they are ready for the changes.
In light of GDPR, payroll and HR will need to fundamentally review and make changes to their data and processes. To help with this, the Learn Centre is running a half-day GDPR course to help payroll professionals prepare.
