Concerns have been expressed over the speed with which HMRC’s tax digitalisation plans are moving and it is reassuring that there are plans to delay its introduction.
Speaking at HMRC’s annual conference, the Financial secretary to the Treasury Jane Ellison, MP, announced that she had listened to concerns and that “even slightly larger businesses might need more time to prepare for the new system – so we have proposed deferring the introduction of any changes to 2019 for those businesses too”.
