HMRC has published updated guidance regarding furloughed workers.

The guidance now includes clarification on course of action to be taken by employers in different scenarios and elaborates further on those eligible to claim furloughed status.

The guidance gives some clarity to the position of when the employer needs to ensure that NMW payments are met, holiday entitlement, director eligibility and calculations for temporary workers and includes updates to the following:

"I've booked the HR and Payroll Update course most years and during roles with at least 3 different employers. One thing remains the same; a course that is relevant, well delivered and enjoyable and that is key when trying to retain the many pieces of legislation changes to which payroll professionals are exposed."
