Google has paid $9.7m (£7.4m) to 10,667 employees in order to address pay disparities, according to the Telegraph.

It has been reported that the global tech giant automatically topped up men's pay to address a gender gap among its software developers.

Google allegedly uses algorithms to work out an employee’s compensation based on factors such as market rate, location, level and performance rating, but managers are given an additional budget to use for pay rises and bonuses at their discretion. However, these extras had been disproportionately paid to women.

"When setting up a Shared Service Centre, The Learn Centre played a key role in our award winning Payroll Academy, delivering a blended learning experience combining both classroom based training and an e-learning solution. The course delivery, the training materials and overall learning experience was excellent."
