Currently, anyone wishing to search or browse employment tribunal decisions has to apply in person at specific offices in Bury St Edmunds for English and Welsh decisions, and Glasgow for Scottish decisions. Not very convenient if the enquirer lives at some distance from either office.
Enquirers can submit requests in writing but subject to payment of a fee.
HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has announced that new employment tribunal decisions will be made publicly available online from autumn 2016 and the database will allow the public to search for first-instance judgments from England, Wales and Scotland.
