The Money and Pensions Service has appointed a principal to drive forward the implementation of the Pensions Dashboard, which will enable savers to have easy access to their pensions information.
The principal of the Pensions Dashboard Industry Delivery Group will be headed by Chris Curry, who is also the Director of the Pensions Policy Institute. The aim of the Dashboard is to revolutionise how people engage with their pensions throughout their lives.
Guy Opperman, Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion, said: “Chris Curry has a wealth of experience driving forward innovation in the pensions industry. His appointment to lead the latest of our truly transformational reforms is an important moment.
“Pension Dashboards will deliver a digital revolution, transforming how people plan for retirement by allowing everyone to see their savings online in one place.”
The Industry Delivery Group will work to develop the data standards and other criteria that any Dashboard will need to meet. A focus of the Group, which will be made up of industry stakeholders, will be to make sure that all Dashboards are consistent, easy-to-use and contain all the information people need to feel confident and informed in engaging with their pensions.
