The chancellor of the exchequer, Philip Hammond, will be delivering the government’s Spring Statement on Wednesday 13 March 2019, it has been announced.
This will respond to the latest forecast from the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR).
Following the Chancellor’s announcement at Autumn Statement 2016, there is now only one major fiscal event each year, with the Budget delivered in the autumn.
