This week the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) started the first consultation on the long-awaited pensions dashboard which was announced in the Pensions Schemes Act 2021.

The consultation is based on the draft Pensions Dashboard Regulations 2022. The consultation is for Great Britain and Northern Ireland is expected to make corresponding legislation.

The purpose of this consultation is to seek views on the draft Pensions Dashboards Regulations, which make provision for requirements to be met by pension dashboard services or the providers of these services, and by trustees or managers of relevant occupational pension schemes.

This consultation is about introducing pensions dashboards, an electronic communications service intended to be used by individuals to access information about pensions. Pensions dashboards will put individuals in control of planning for their retirement by bringing together their pension information from multiple sources, including information on their State Pension, which can then be accessed at a time of their choosing.

The consultation was issued on the 31st of January 2022, and responses can be made up to the 13th of March 2022.

"I have used The Learn Centre on a number of occasions and have found it provides a great platform to gain the knowledge required to carry out my job. I started off with the Payroll Technician course and this in-depth learning gave me a great foundation of payroll knowledge to build upon and give me the confidence to progress up the career ladder, well worth it and would certainly recommend, no matter what level you are at there will be a course/qualification that can help you."
