Morrisons is opening its cafes to employers that want to offer their employees a Christmas party including all the trimmings.
Morrisons will give cash-strapped employers the opportunity to treat their staff to a traditional Christmas dinner at a cost of £6.50 per head for a two course meal and £7.50 for three courses.
The supermarket chain wants to offer a solution to small businesses that are concerned about splashing the cash over the festive period, due to the uncertainty of the current economic climate.
We are afraid that large employers will have to organise their own Christmas festivities though, because the Morrisons offer only caters to parties of up to 20 people.
Helen Tordoff, head of cafes at Morrisons, said: “Some small businesses have had a tough year. so we have created the best Christmas meal for those on a budget. And as our cafes regularly host group meet ups, we thought we’d extend the invite so that employers can save some Christmas costs. It will mean that more people can get into the part spirit without breaking the bank.”
Come to think of it…where are we at The Payroll Centre going for our Christmas outing?
