The latest guidance from HMRC for tax agents and advisers has been published in its Agent Update 72.

The update includes details on how to help your clients prepare their workforce for EU Exit today. In particular, it discusses how European employees can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme if they wish to continue to live, work, and study in the UK after 31 December 2020. This applies whether we leave with a deal or with no deal.

The update also includes information on: student loans; understanding the High Income Child Benefit Charge; and the Disguised Remuneration Loan Charge. As well as information on HMRC’s services, Making Tax Digital and Working Together details.

"I've booked the HR and Payroll Update course most years and during roles with at least 3 different employers. One thing remains the same; a course that is relevant, well delivered and enjoyable and that is key when trying to retain the many pieces of legislation changes to which payroll professionals are exposed."
