The Payroll Assurance scheme is the CIPP’s flagship payroll assessment solution. Made up of two parts, one to assess payroll processes and one to assess the learning and development of payroll staff, the scheme is the only voluntary accreditation on the market that can offer employers and bureaux complete confidence in their payroll teams. The scheme was developed and approved in partnership with HMRC and is regularly kept up to date by the CIPP’s in-house Policy team.
The scheme is designed in two parts.The first module tests the payroll and associated processes within the company, not only checking current processes, but advising on areas of change and improvement. The second module focusses on the individuals within the payroll teams, diagnosing learning and development needs and adding in measures to establish life-long learning.

You first need to register your interest below and The CIPP will then help you to decide whether the scheme is right for you. You’ll then be invited to take part in an introductory meeting where you’ll be given all the information you need to prepare for the assessment. Once you’re ready for your assessment, you’ll confirm a date with the CIPP and the assessment will begin.
